Coming into the season, Coach Jacob Barmore knew that for his team to be competitive, they’d have to get scoring from junior guard Brandon Miller and senior sharpshooter Ros Goodwin. He also knew that in order to go beyond competitive, at least one other scorer would have to emerge.

Spencer County will face Oldham County in tournament final
Bears beat North Oldham, to play for region title Tuesday
The Spencer County High School boys' basketball team defeated North Oldham 60-52 on Monday night and will play for the Region 8 title on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
The Bears will face Oldham County, who defeated Henry County on Monday night by a score of 34-32.
The Region 8 tournament is being played at Henry County High School.

Miller leads Bears to victory and 30th district title Saturday
Last year as a freshman, Brandon Miller had both the basketball and his team’s season in his hands in the closing seconds of the Bears’ 30th District tournament against Anderson County and his team down one point. His buzzer-beating shot missed the mark, ending an otherwise successful season on a down note.
