Spencer County’s 2010 ACT scores improved across all four categories that measure college-readiness in high school juniors in English, math, reading and science, but there is plenty of room for improvement, according to SCHS Principal Jocelyn Lyons.
With a higher percentage of local students meeting ACT benchmarks, SCHS is now ranked 168th out of 229 Kentucky schools. The rating places Spencer County better than 27 percent of Kentucky schools and up from 198th in 2009.
