A Taylorsville woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident Sunday morning at the intersection of Normandy and Taylorsville roads.
Autumn J. Leber, 23, of Briscoe Lane, was driving a 2002 Volkswagen Cabriolet north on Taylorsville Road, according to a collision report filed by Spencer County Sheriff’s Deputy Rob Thomas.
Philip L. Fox, 74, of Van Dyke Mill Road, was sitting at the stop sign at the intersection in his 2013 Chevrolet Silverado.
Fox pulled out in front of Leber, the report says.
“[Leber] was unable to stop and struck [Fox’s vehicle] in its driver’s side with its front end,” the report says.
Fox told Thomas he didn’t see Leber coming.
“[Leber] stated that she saw [Fox’s vehicle] at the stop sign and when she was close to the intersection, [he] pulled out,” the report says.
Leber was transported to Norton Brownsboro Hospital by Spencer County EMS.
Fox was not injured and declined to be transported.
Inattention was cited as a human factor in the incident. Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor, according to the report.
