The Spencer County Clerk’s Office received a primarily clean audit from Kentucky’s auditor of public accounts with the main concern regarding segregation of duties.
The comment issued by the auditor’s office states, “The clerk’s office had a lack of segregation of duties over expenditures and reconciliations, which allowed several errors to go undetected.”
In her response to the auditor, County Clerk Lynn Hesselbrock states that many of the issues have already been corrected.
