Santa was scheduled to visit Taylorsville as part of Santa’s Wonderland. Homemakers clubs turned the community center into a winter wonderland with decorated Christmas trees from clubs and merchants. Several children’s choirs performed and Santa had gifts for all the little ones who came to visit.

Edgar Sullivan, thought to be the oldest practicing attorney in the country, died at the age of 100. Sullivan died on Nov. 24, 1992. Sullivan was a former county clerk, county attorney and Taylorsville city attorney. ‘Know the law and be accurate in all you do,’ Sullivan replied when asked what was the most important thing about being a lawyer.
