From the outside, the new Spencer County High School gym doesn’t look very big. On the inside, pictured above, it looks enormous.
It is 102 feet by 104 feet, said Superintendent Lloyd Mullins. “It’s about the same size as Bullitt East but we won’t have a balcony.”
Mullins said the Spencer County gym will seat 1,500, compared to the 400 capacity seating in the old gym.

November 4, State Detective Claude Owens arrested two fugitives from justice on warrants on file in the Dallas County Texas sheriff’s department.
Arrested in Taylorsville were Peggy Murphy Oliver, 38, route 2, Taylorsville and James Carl Badgett. 20, route 2, Taylorsville.
The arrests were made at 11 p.m. Ms. Oliver was charged with 3 counts of theft valued at more than $200 and parole violation. Badgett was charged with 3 counts of theft of more than $200. Both were lodged in the Bullitt County jail.
