Bank robbery suspect appears in court

One of the men alleged to have been involved in the Peoples Bank Robbery was arraigned in Spencer County District Court Friday on first degree robbery charges.
Brandon Duwone Harvey, 18 of Louisville was seen by Judge Betty Springate via video monitor in court Friday morning.
According to Springate, Harvey is facing a possible sentence of between 10 and 20 years in prison for the incident which occurred on July 30. According to a police report read by Springate during the hearing it is alleged that Harvey was one of three males who entered the Peoples Bank on July 30 armed with handguns who then proceeded to demand money from the bank’s tellers. After leaving the bank, the suspects headed south and were last seen on Plum Creek Road. According to the report a Foot Locker bag was discovered on Plum Creek Road and the bag was run for prints which came back with a positive match for Harvey.
According to Harvey’s booking information on the Louisville Metro Department of Correction’s website, he is also facing over two dozen charges in other matters stemming from similar conduct.
Harvey’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday at 10:30 a.m.
