Being God's witness only takes a little faith

Ezekiel 3:17-21 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

In reading these five verses in Ezekiel we can easily see what we were put on earth for. God plainly tells us we are to be his witnesses and if we refuse he will hold us accountable. I have heard so many excuses like I just can’t tell anyone about Jesus Christ because I am scared or people would not understand anyway or people don’t want to hear that kind of stuff or I don’t know how.

I will never forget when we were fighting the gambling in the school house. I heard from so many people you stay in there, you know what you are doing, I’m behind you all the way. Some people told me I don’t know what to do but if you tell me what to do I will be more than glad to do it. These people were really ready to help anyway they could. Praise the Lord for people like this!

One person told me he never heard anything like gambling in school, why they had just as well gamble in church. Here is what I have to say to everyone who is afraid to stand up against something wrong or afraid to tell someone about Jesus Christ. Always remember the first step is the hardest. If you take that step in the name of Jesus Christ, he will take over and help you through whatever you undertake to do.

I know when John Shindlebower, the former editor, asked me if I would write an article on the church page every week I said I will be glad to but remember I have only an eighth grade education. He said that is alright the Bible was wrote on an eighth grade education. Really I write from the Old Kings James version and it makes me believe the editor is right. So always remember to be a great witness for Jesus Christ all it takes is your faith in him. As we look back at what God told Ezekiel if we don’t use our faith God gave us he will hold us accountable.
