The Spencer County School Board voted following an executive session Monday night to make a bid of $275,000 for 38.19 acres known as the Porter Property for the purpose of constructing a new elementary school.
The property is located 2.5 miles northeast of Ky. 55 and 44. According to a land study conducted for the district, the property is a mixture of pasture and woodlands, and was listed for $668,325 — $393,325 more than what was offered by the board.
