Brandenburg man dies in crash on 31E

A Brandenburg man died last Wednesday in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. 31E.
According to a Kentucky State Police news release, a 2004 Jeep operated by Joseph D. Powers, 50, of Brandenburg, was traveling south on U.S. 31E when it crossed into the north and south lanes several times. The driver lost control and struck a tree on the northbound side of the roadway.
The 911 call reporting an injury collision came into the KSP Post 12 at approximately 12:21 p.m. Wednesday.
The Spencer County Coroner pronounced the driver dead at the collision scene.
