Little Union Baptist
plans revival
Little Union Baptist Church will host revival services at 7 p.m. on Friday through Sunday.
Danny Haynes, associate pastor of Mill Creek Baptist Church in Bardstown, will be the guest evangelist.
On Aug. 23, youth night activities will begin at 6.
On Aug. 24, a complimentary meal will be served at 6.
The church, located at 4620 Little Union Road, has Sunday school at 10 a.m. each Sunday, followed by a worship service at 11.

Old Gospel Barn
to host sing
The Old Gospel Barn at 11286 Louisville Road is hosting a gospel sing Aug. 24 at 7:30 p.m. Featured guests include the Brighter Day Band from Elizabethtown and The Cumbos. All are welcome and the event is free.

Open Door Christian plans homecoming with special guest
The Open Door Christian Center, located at 2345 Taylorsville Road in Bloomfield will host its homecoming with special guest minister, author and gospel artist the Rev. Terry Tripp of Nashville on Sunday.
Sunday school begins at 10 a.m., the homecoming service is at 11 a.m.
The church will host an all day dinner in the fellowship hall following the service.
Tripp traveled with his family, The Laverne Tripp Family, which ministered for more than 20 years.

Narcotics Anonymous meetings will be held at First Christian Church weekly on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.

Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery, at Ridgeview Baptist Church, will meet Tuesdays, with Solid Rock Cafe at 6 p.m. and meetings begin at 6:30. Child care is provided.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christian-based eight-step recovery program. Anyone struggling with an addiction, unwanted habit or hurt is encouraged to attend.

Mission for Christ plans worship at Signature
The Mission for Christ will be ministering in word and song at Signature Health Care on the first Thursday of each month. The community is invited. C.L. Glasscock is pastor.

Al-Anon meetings at Methodist church
Al-Anon meetings are each Monday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Taylorsville United Methodist Church, 175 W. Main St.

Women’s AA meeting
A women’s AA meeting is planned for Saturdays from 5 to 6 p.m. at 99 Mobile Drive. This is the same meeting previously held at Spencer Christian Church. However, the location has changed.
The format of the meeting is closed, with discussion, organizers said.

AA meetings at three locations
The following AA meetings are offered locally:
• Each Tuesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 410 Main Cross.
• Each Wednesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Spencer County Extension Office, 100 Oak Tree Way.
• Each Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Spencer County Extension office, 100 Oak Tree Way.

Wednesday night activities at First Baptist
First Baptist Church of Taylorsville hosts an array of Christ-centered family activities on Wednesday nights starting with a free family meal at 6:30 p.m.
Adult prayer meeting and Bible study starts at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.
The meal is followed by interesting Bible study classes for preschool, elementary, middle and high school students at 7 p.m.
Transportation is available to those who do not have a way to get to the church. There is a program for all ages, so please come and join us.
