Risen Lord Church steeple returns
Risen Lord Lutheran Church’s steeple has returned to Taylorsville. This steeple has had quite a journey from its beginnings in Campbellsville to its first home in Fairfax County, Va., then to Risen Lord Lutheran in Taylorsville and back to Campbellsville for repairs and returning just in time for the 2012 Christmas Tour.
The steeple sustained extensive hail damage last April, which has now been repaired. Risen Lord Lutheran is very pleased to be included in the Christmas Tour this year and welcomes the community to come and see all of the wonderful changes that have been made in the last five years of the church’s existence in Spencer County that include stained glass windows, oak pews and oak furnishings that were carved over 130 years ago by European wood crafters.
Join us for refreshments during the Christmas Tour “Open House” this Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m.
