Ministerial association to meet
Are you a pastor or minister serving or living in Spencer County? Then you are invited to attend the next meeting of the Spencer County Ministerial Association. The next meeting is at CUB Bank in Taylorsville at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Old Gospel Barn hosts gospel sing this Saturday
The Old Gospel Barn at 11286 Louisville Road is hosting a gospel sing Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Special guests include The Gospel Calvaliers of Campbellsville and The Cumbos. The event is free and everyone is welcome.

Risen Lord to host Trunk or Treat
Risen Lord Lutheran Church, located at 5138 Taylorsville Road, will host a Trunk or Treat event Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Trophies will be awarded for the best trunk as well as best costume.

FBC to host Fall Family Fun Fest
First Baptist Church of Taylorsville is hosting its annual Fall Family Fun Fest as a Christ-centered Halloween alternative event during Trick-or-Treat on Main Street, Oct. 31, from 5-8 p.m.
Trick or treaters and their families are encouraged to come to the church at 115. W. Main St. where children can enjoy free games, candy, food and fellowship.

NA at First Christian
Narcotics Anonymous meetings will be held at First Christian Church weekly on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.

Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery, at Ridgeview Baptist Church, will meet Tuesdays, with Solid Rock Cafe at 6 p.m. and meetings begin at 6:30. Child care is provided.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christian-based eight-step recovery program. Anyone struggling with an addiction, unwanted habit or hurt is encouraged to attend.

Al-Anon meetings at Methodist church
Al-Anon meetings are each Monday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Taylorsville United Methodist Church, 175 W. Main St.

Trunk or Treat at Plum Creek
Plum Creek Baptist Church is hosting a Trunk or Treat Oct. 31 at the church from 5-8 p.m. Free chili and hotdogs will be served.
The event will include free games, candy, activities and prizes. A costume show will be at 7 p.m., but no scary costumes are allowed. A trunk decorating contest will follow. The community is invited to attend.

AA meetings at three locations
The following AA meetings are offered locally:
• Each Tuesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 410 Main Cross.
• Each Wednesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Spencer County Extension Office, 100 Oak Tree Way.
• Each Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Spencer County Extension office, 100 Oak Tree Way.

Wednesday night activities at First Baptist
First Baptist Church of Taylorsville hosts an array of Christ-centered family activities on Wednesday nights starting with a free family meal at 6:30 p.m.
Adult prayer meeting and Bible study starts at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.
The meal is followed by interesting Bible study classes for preschool, elementary, middle and high school students at 7 p.m.
Transportation is available to those who do not have a way to get to the church. There is a program for all ages, so please come and join us.
