Plum Creek Baptist plans ‘Trunk or Treat’
Plum Creek Baptist Church invites the community to attend “Trunk or Treat” today (Wednesday) at 5:30 p.m. The theme is “Heroes Unmasked,” and adults and children are asked to come in their best heroes costume.
The event will feature games, children’s stories, hot dogs and chili. Prizes will be awarded for the best costume and the best decorated car trunk.
The church is located at the Ky. 44 and Plum Creek Road in Waterford.
Finchville Baptist announces fall events
Finchville Baptist Church recently announced the following fall events:
•Today (Wednesday) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., the church will host a fall festival/trunk-or-treat. A prize will be awarded for the best decorated trunk.
•On Saturday, the church will host an Arts and Crafts show from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Booth space is $20 and an additional $5 for a table. Light concessions will be available. For more information, call Elizabeth at 859-866-3737 or email email@example.com.
•The church is collecting toiletry items and small toys to fill shoe boxes that will be sent to children around the world as part of Operation Christmas Child and the Samaritan’s Purse Ministry. Shoe boxes should be wrapped, but not sealed, and donors are asked to include the cost of postage inside the box. The last day for collections is Nov. 18. Lighthouse Baptist plans Fall Family Fest
Lighthouse Baptist Church is hosting a Fall Family Fest at the church, 88 Miller Road, on Saturday from 3 p.m. until dark. The event will feature games, food, hay rides, balloons and a bonfire. Attendees are asked to bring a chair for seating.
All Saints plans Casino Night
All Saints Council 14234 is hosting a casino night on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 6 to 11 p.m.
The cost is $15 per person for $3,000 worth of chips. Rebuy chips up until 10 p.m. Cash out at 10:30 p.m. The top winners get prizes.
Games include Texas Hold-em, Blackjack, Race Horse, High-low, Showdown Poker and Beat the Dealer.

Ridgeview Baptist hosts Celebrate Recovery
Ridgeview Baptist Church at 10 Dogwood Circle will host its Celebrate Recovery group each Wednesday from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christian-based eight-step recovery program. Anyone struggling with an addiction, unwanted habit or hurt is encouraged to attend.
Clothes closet at First Assembly of God
The First Assembly of God Church will operate a clothes closet at 402 Garrard St.
The closet will operate in the basement of the church; ring the bell at the door for admission.
The non-profit service will have infant sizes to adult sizes.
The clothes closet will be open every Wednesday from 1 to 4 p.m.

Mission for Christ plans worship at Signature
The Mission for Christ will be ministering in word and song at Signature Health Care on the first Thursday of each month. The community is invited. C.L. Glasscock is pastor.
Wednesday night activities at First Baptist
First Baptist Church of Taylorsville hosts an array of Christ-centered family activities on Wednesday nights starting at 6:30 p.m.
Adult prayer meeting and Bible study starts at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.
A free family meal is also served at 6:30 p.m. followed by fun and interesting Bible study classes for preschool, elementary, middle and high school students.
Transportation is available to those who do not have a way to get to the church.

Al-Anon meetings are each Monday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Taylorsville United Methodist Church, 175 W. Main St.
AA meetings at two locations
AA meetings are each Tuesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 410 Main Cross.
A separate AA meeting is also held each Wednesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Spencer County Extension Office, 66 Spears Drive.
