National Day of Prayer tomorrow

Join members of the community for the annual National Day of Prayer observance at noon tomorrow on the Spencer County Courthouse steps.  In case of bad weather, we will meet at First Baptist Church in Taylorsville. Several local leaders will participate this year as we share in singing and praying for our nation.  Pastors from many churches will pray for our government, for our military, for the media, for business, and for many other aspects of our life together.  Please come and take an hour out of your day to pray for America. The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.
