Faith Weaver Friends

Come join us as the new year begins!   A new year of the Family Ministry Program featuring Faith/Weaver Friends, a children’s ministry curriculum, begins today.  Our kick-off celebration begins at 5:45 p.m. with pizza & ice cream sundaes and continues with fun, games and fellowship.  Then plan on joining us every Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. for a family meal followed by children’s ministry, youth group & adult Bible study!  For more information, please call the church office, 502-477-2582. Plan on being at the Waterford Homecoming on Saturday, September 19  to play in the Corn Hole Tournament!  This will be a 50/50 tournament to raise funds for the Plum Creek Baptist Church Youth Group -- $25 per team, double elimination (no pros or semi-pros on the same team, please), registration begins at 10 a.m., first pitch at 11 a.m.  For more information, please call Berman McKinley, 477-2065.  See you at Waterford Park September 19!

Little Mount Baptist Church Fall Festival

The Little Mount Baptist Church Fall Festival will be held September 12. The festival is held 1/4 mile past the church on Highway 44 East between Little Mount and Southville. Activities begin at 10 a.m. and continue throughout the day. There will be music by various artists that will range from gospel to country with some 50s and 60 rock and roll thrown in. There will be activities for children including an inflatable, kids Olympics, face painting and The Inseperable Mr. Stoney. The 4-H state meat judging team will be there with a duck pond and sand art to raise money in order to attend the National event. The day will end with a live auction to raise money to benefit community projects. The schedule is:

10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Megan Stout

11 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Common Creek

1 p.m. – 2 p.m. The Inseperable Mr. Stoney, clown/magician

2 p.m. – 3 p.m. Gloryland Quartet

2:30 p.m. Kids Olympics

3 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Kyle Bennett

Don’t forget to stop by the yard sale and visit other booths. All individuals and groups are welcome to set up a booth or yard sale at no charge (except no food). Don’t let the sun or rain stop you from coming as the music and the auction will be held under tents. Come join the fun filled day. For information please call 502-477-2335.

Women’s fall Bible study

The Women’s Ministry at First Baptist will begin their fall Bible study, Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed--A Study of David, by Priscilla Shirer, Beth Moore, and Kay Arthur on September 14.  This 7 week study is based on their Deeper Still conference.  Each woman will teach a 2 week segment.  Times and location are:

    Monday 9:15-11:15 a.m.    First Baptist Church

    Monday 6:30-8:30 p.m.    Home of Charlotte Nedros
