Little Mt. Baptist fall festival

Little Mount Baptist Church will be holding their annual fall festival Saturday, Sept. 11. Events will begin at 10 a.m. and include horse drawn wagon rides, music, food, yard sale, children’s activities and a live auction.

Free booth space is available for yard sales and other organizations,’ however, there will be no concession food allowed at booths.

New this year will be a cutest baby contest for boys and girls under 2, a Little Miss Little Mt. for girls 25 months to 5 years and a Little Mt. Princess for girls ages 6 to 10. Entry fee is $3. Prizes will be awarded.

Concert of Prayer for area schools

 A Concert of Prayer for local schools has been scheduled for Sunday, August 22 at 3 p.m. in the Spencer County Middle School auditorium. Please contact Greg Taylor at 477-8942 or Carol Herndon at 477-0150 if your church would like to participate.

Everyone is invited to attend.

 Breaking Free of addictions

Lighthouse Baptist Church will be starting back up their addictions/recovery program titled “Breaking FREE.” This program is designed for anyone struggling with a stubborn habit, hangup or hurt. Classes will be held each Wednesday night at 7 p.m. and will begin with a series on studying the principles of real freedom. Support groups begin at 8 p.m. to offer wise and helpful counsel to those in need.

Breaking FREE features an all new staff of compassionate volunteers that will make you feel right at home. Everyone is welcome to attend one or both hours.
