ESL Class at Parkland Hills Baptist Church

It’s that time of year again to open our hearts and think of the ones less fortunate.  Once again there is a great need to help those in our community and elsewhere to stay warm this winter.

We all know the feel of a warm coat, soft blanket, warm hat and gloves, but for some less fortunate, this is a hardship for them. So with this thought in mind, if you have  new or used coats, blankets, hats or gloves, or any warm items that you would like to donate, call Judy Bentley at 502-477-8249 or Parkland Hills Baptist Church at 502-477-2222. Judy will gladly come pick up items at your home.

Plum Creek Baptist Church “Trunk or Treat”

Revival at Kings Baptist

Keith Risner of the Edgewood Baptist Church in Trenton Ohio will be the evangelist at the upcoming Revival at Kings Baptist Church located at 989 Kings Church Road.  Services will take place November 2 through November 5, Sunday at 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m.; Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m.  Risner will be speaking on Family foundations.  For more information contact the church at 502-538-6902 or 502-955-5480.

Risen Lord Lutheran Rummage Sale and Fall Festival

The community is invited to Risen Lord Lutheran Church located at 5138 Taylorsville Road, on Saturday, from 8:30 a.m, to 2:30 p.m. for the rummage sale and Fall Festival.  There will be classic cars, games and concessions.  Rummage sale donations will be accepted on Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Friday 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Contact Pastor Steve Gettinger at 502-477-6557 for more information.

Spencer Christian Fish Fry/Trunk or Treat

The annual Fish Fry/Trunk or Treat will be held at Spencer Christian Church on November 7,  from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  There will be a fantastic fish meal, a time of fellowship and a Trunk or Treat for the kids. If you are interested in hosting a trunk,  please contact George Farmer. There will be prizes awarded for the best trunks, so get creative and come join us Friday, November 7, for a fantastic time for the whole family!
