Little Union Baptist to host VBS
Little Union Baptist Church, located at 4620 Little Union Road, will host VBS through Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for children ages kindergarten through age 12.
Commencement exercises will be Sunday morning.

‘64 to Grayson’ to perform at Spencer Christian
Spencer County’s Craig Cunningham and Laura Jones will perform live in their band “64 to Grayson” at Spencer Christian Church at 6 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free; a love offering will be taken.

Little Mount Baptist announces VBS
Little Mount Baptist Church will host vacation Bible school July 8 through 13 from 6:30 to 9 each night.
This year’s theme is “Amazing Wonders Aviation,” and VBS is open to ages 3 years through ninth grade.

VBS at Fisherville Baptist
Fisherville Baptist Church will host vacation Bible school July 9 through 13 from 6 to 9 each night.
This year’s theme is “Praise,” and VBS is open to children in kindergarten through high school.
Drop-by registration will be Sunday, July 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. Registration is also available online at www.fisherville-baptist.com.

Second Baptist plans VBS
Second Baptist Church will host vacation Bible school July 11 through 13 from 6 to 8:30 each night.
Dinner will be served.
This year’s theme is “No Friend Like Jesus,” and VBS is open to ages 2 through adults.

Taylorsville First Assembly opens clothes closet
The First Assembly of God Church will operate a clothes closet at 402 Garrard St.
The closet will operate in the basement of the church; ring the bell at the door for admission.
The non-profit service will have infant sizes to adult sizes.
The clothes closet will be open every Wednesday from 1 to 4 p.m.

Ridgeview Baptist hosts Celebrate Recovery group
Every Thursday from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Ridgeview Baptist Church at 10 Dogwood Circle hosts its Celebrate Recovery group, which is a Christian-based eight-step recovery program.  
Anyone struggling with an addiction, unwanted habit or hurt is encouraged to attend.

Ridgeview Baptist Church at 10 Dogwood Circle will host AA meetings.
Meetings will be at 7 p.m. each Friday at the church

Mission for Christ plans worship at Signature
The Mission for Christ will be ministering in word and song at Signature Health Care on the first Thursday of each month. The community is invited. C.L. Glasscock is pastor.

Wednesday night activities at First Baptist
First Baptist Church of Taylorsville hosts an array of Christ-centered family activities on Wednesday nights starting at 6:30 p.m.
Adult prayer meeting and Bible study starts at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.
A free family meal is also served at 6:30 p.m. followed by fun and interesting Bible study classes for preschool, elementary, middle and high school students.
Transportation is available to those who do not have a way to get to the church.

Mary’s Clothes Closet at Taylorsville United Methodist Church
Mary’s Clothes Closet at Taylorsville United Methodist Church, located at 145 W. Main Street, has children’s clothing for newborns to size 7.
This non-profit service also offers emergency diapers and wipes.
The Clothes Closet is located in the large building directly behind the church. Hours are every Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. or by appointment.

Al-Anon meetings at Methodist church
Al-Anon meetings are each Monday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Taylorsville United Methodist Church, 175 W. Main St.

AA meetings at two locations
AA meetings are each Tuesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 410 Main Cross.
A separate AA meeting is also held each Wednesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Spencer County Extension Office, 66 Spears Drive.
