Elk Creek Baptist announces VBS
Elk Creek Baptist Church will host its “Hay Day” vacation Bible school celebration through Saturday from 6 to 9 each night.
VBS is for ages 3 through high school, and the church is located at 5734 Elk Creek Road.

Event to benefit Northern Lights Mission
Taylorsville First Assembly of God Church will host a barbecue supper and gospel sing with cake auction to benefit the Northern Lights Mission on Friday from 5 to 9 p.m.
The church is located on Garrard Street in Taylorsville.
The meal, which will feature barbecue, two vegetables, dessert and a drink, is $7 for adults and $4 for children under 10.
Musical guests will be David Stevens and Friends.

Briar Ridge Christian to host revival
Briar Ridge Christian Church is hosting a revival the week of June 30-July 3.
Services are as follows: Sunday at 11 a.m. and evening services Sunday through Wednesday at 7 nightly.
The speakers are: Sunday morning, Tim Ogle; Sunday night, Harlan Ogle; Monday night, Jeff Price; Tuesday night, Ralph Hillenburg; and Wednesday night, Eugene Neyhart.
Every evening special music will be presented by different area groups and individuals.

Mount Eden Christian to host July Fourth yard sale
The Mount Eden Christian Church at 12241 Mount Eden Road, Mount Eden, is hosting a church-wide yard sale on July Fourth inside its new activity building located across the street from the church. All proceeds from the yard sale will benefit the church’s Vision Building Fund. Some of the items offered will be furniture, household items, microwaves, a composter, jeans, children’s toys and more. Doors open at 8 a.m. and will close at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Narcotics Anonymous meetings at First Christian
Narcotics Anonymous meetings will be held at First Christian Church weekly on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.

Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery, at Ridgeview Baptist Church, will meet Tuesdays, with Solid Rock Cafe at 6 p.m. and meetings begin at 6:30. Child care is provided.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christian-based eight-step recovery program. Anyone struggling with an addiction, unwanted habit or hurt is encouraged to attend.

Mission for Christ plans worship at Signature
The Mission for Christ will be ministering in word and song at Signature Health Care on the first Thursday of each month. The community is invited. C.L. Glasscock is pastor.

Al-Anon meetings at Methodist church

Al-Anon meetings are each Monday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Taylorsville United Methodist Church, 175 W. Main St.

Women’s AA meeting
A women’s AA meeting is planned for Saturdays from 5 to 6 p.m. at 99 Mobile Drive. This is the same meeting previously held at Spencer Christian Church. However, the location has changed.
The format of the meeting is closed, with discussion, organizers said.

AA meetings at three locations
The following AA meetings are offered locally:
• Each Tuesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 410 Main Cross.
• Each Wednesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Spencer County Extension Office, 100 Oak Tree Way.
• Each Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Spencer County Extension office, 100 Oak Tree Way.

Wednesday night activities at First Baptist
First Baptist Church of Taylorsville hosts an array of Christ-centered family activities on Wednesday nights starting with a free family meal at 6:30 p.m.
Adult prayer meeting and Bible study starts at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.
The meal is followed by interesting Bible study classes for preschool, elementary, middle and high school students at 7 p.m.
Transportation is available to those who do not have a way to get to the church. There is a program for all ages, so please come and join us.
