New Hope Tabernacle to host gospel sing
New Hope Tabernacle, located at 722 Townhill Road, will host a gospel sing featuring the group Blood Bought on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The church will also host a dinner after the singing.

Knights to host chicken dinner
The Knights of Columbus – All Saints Council in Taylorsville invites the community to its all-you-can-eat chicken dinner on Nov. 17 from noon to 2 p.m. at All Saints Church on Main Cross in Taylorsville. The meal features broasted chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, butter noodles and all kinds of desserts. The dinner is on the third Sunday of each month at the same time.
Drink and dessert are included. Prices range from $8 for adults, $4 for children 4-12, and children 3 and under are free. Proceeds go to the All Saints Council of the Knights of Columbus to fund charitable work.

Narcotics Anonymous meetings at First Christian
Narcotics Anonymous meetings will be held at First Christian Church weekly on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.

Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery, at Ridgeview Baptist Church, will meet Tuesdays, with Solid Rock Cafe at 6 p.m. and meetings begin at 6:30. Child care is provided.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christian-based eight-step recovery program. Anyone struggling with an addiction, unwanted habit or hurt is encouraged to attend.

Al-Anon meetings at Methodist church
Al-Anon meetings are each Monday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Taylorsville United Methodist Church, 175 W. Main St.

AA meetings at three locations
The following AA meetings are offered locally:
• Each Tuesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 410 Main Cross.
• Each Wednesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Spencer County Extension Office, 100 Oak Tree Way.
• Each Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Spencer County Extension office, 100 Oak Tree Way.

Tree of Life tickets on sale now
First Baptist Church of Taylorsville is again hosting the annual Tree of Life musical presentation, which depicts the Biblical story of the birth and life of Jesus Christ. The choir and other musical guests are from Spencer and surrounding counties and represent numerous churches.
Tickets are $3 each and are now on sale at the church, 115 W. Main Street, at The Tea Cup or at The Red Scooter.
Performances are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Dec. 6-8.
