Fall Festival at Spencer Christian

Spencer Christian Church will be hosting a Fall Festival this Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church, located at 5720 Taylorsville Road, in Elk Creek. There will be fun for the whole family, including a pig roast, live music and games, contests, a cake walk, hay rides and much more. Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy this free event.

Tent Revival

The Christian Crossing Lifeline Center, pastored by Marvin Redman, will be sponsoring a tent revival on October 21 through October 24 in the lawn behind Taylorsville Elementary School. Nightly services will begin at 6:30 p.m. Scheduled speakers include Kenneth Jackson on Wednesday, Ned Way and Cody Chesser on Thursday, Dave Hutch on Friday, and Bob Rogers on Saturday. Everyone is invited to attend.

Wakefield Baptist Homecoming

Wakefield Baptist Church will have Homecoming on October 17 at 7 p.m. and October 18 at 11 a.m. The church will celebrate 54 years of serving the Lord. Brother Travis Smith, former pastor of Wakefield Christian Church, will be speaking at both services. All are invited to enjoy the music, testimonies, preaching and fellowship, and there will be a dinner after Sunday services.

Emmaus Road Quartet in concert

The Emmaus Road Quartet will be in concert at First Baptist Church of Taylorsville on Sunday, October 18 at 6 p.m. From 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m., the church will be offering a spaghetti dinner, with donations accepted. The meal will include homemade sauce with beef coming from a local farm, bread, salad and dessert. Proceeds will go to United We Build. For information, contact 477-8197.

Celebrate Recovery at two churches

Celebrate Recovery, at Spencer Christian Church, meets every Thursday from 6:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at the church in Elk Creek and at King’s Baptist Church, on Mondays at 6 p.m. with Solid Rock Cafe at 5:45 p.m. Celebrate Recovery is a Christian-based, eight-step recovery program. Anyone struggling with an addiction, unwanted habit or hurt is encouraged to attend.

Narcotics Anonymous Meeting

Narcotics Anonymous meetings are at First Christian Church every Thursday at 8:00 p.m. For more information, call 502-902-4599.
Al-Anon at Taylorsville Methodist

Al-Anon meetings are each Monday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Taylorsville United Methodist Church, 175 W. Main St., Taylorsville.

AA meetings at three locations

The following AA meetings are offered locally:
• Tuesdays from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 410 Main Cross.
• Wednesdays from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Extension Office, 100 Oak Way, Taylorsville.
• Fridays at 7:30 p.m. at the Extension Office, 100 Oak Tree Way.
