Spencer County property taxpayers who reside within the city should disregard the large $918.26 total printed at the bottom of their corrected tax bill.
Sheriff Donald ‘Buddy’ Stump said the corrected bills — which taxpayers within the city limits should receive this week — have the value $918.26 largely printed on the bottom of each of the bills. This is an error. Stump said the property owner’s accurate amount owed is listed in smaller print at the top of the bill, and that the bills will not be recirculated a third time.
