Clashing over sewer boundaries

The plans have been drawn up for three years, but efforts to extend Taylorsville Water Department’s sewer service area finally came to a critical point when the county denied their support at Monday’s fiscal court meeting.

City water department representatives approached fiscal court this week asking for a letter of support at the request of Kentucky’s Division of Water.  The proposed 201 boundary line would have extended the water department’s service area northward on KY 55 toward Elk Creek Road and along Hardesty Ridge back to KY 44.
