A while back, I was invited to a retirement banquet for a pastor. The banquet was set up in traditional style, with a head table for the retiring person and his family. The tables adjacent to the head table were for pastors and their wives. Then there were tables spread out from there for friends and church members. I had planned to sit at the back table of the banquet — not because I was humble, but because it was closest to the food (smile).
