COLUMN: It takes faith to pray an effective prayer

Today I would like to write about prayer. I have always heard if you don’t want God to answer your prayer don’t pray it. Here is a good example, and made a believer out of me. Roberta, my wife, took a hurting in her knees, she went to the doctor, he told her it was arthritis, and she would probably have to have surgery. I got to thinking, I would rather have something like that than her, and so I prayed a foolish prayer. I prayed to God and told him if either one of us had to be dragging here at home let it be me. He answered that prayer.
