Congratulations to Lilli Hanik of Fisherville, Liz Walker of Mount Eden, and Courtney Jeffiers of Taylorsville for receiving the 4-H Middle School Award at 4-H Teen Summit on Saturday, March 17th at the Kentucky Leadership Center in Jabez.

The Middle School Award recognizes 4-H participants who have completed 4-H projects, exhibits, speaking presentations, participation in 4-H events and received honors and recognitions.  Lilli, Liz and Courtney have all gone above and beyond in all of those categories and that is why they were recognized for their accomplishments.  Lilli Hanik, Liz Walker and Danielle Montgomery all participated in the 4-H Teen Summit at the Kentucky Leadership Center March 15-17.  Kim Hanik also served as a chaperone.  Lilli Hanik and Liz Walker took full advantage of the leadership classes that were offered and Danielle Montgomery, a KY State Teen Council member, taught a variety of classes.
Everyone had an amazing time.
The 4-H Teen Summit and Middle School Awards provides young people with essential leadership skills that can help them mature into successful, community minded adults.  The Teen Summit is a Middle-School- age 4-H leadership conference and 4-H Teen Conference is a High-School- age leadership conference.  There are awards for both Middle school and High School age youth.  Please contact Mollie Tichenor at 477-2217 if you are interested in learning more about these programs or other opportunities through 4-H.
