The beauty of spring. Waking up Sunday morning to bright sunlight, I noticed that the grass had turned green almost overnight. Maybe it was the rain from that miserable Saturday that did the trick. I think Mother Nature knew baseball season had arrived and the grass had to be green in time for the first pitch.That first pitch left the mound shortly after 4 p.m. Monday in Cincinnati’s Great American Ballpark as the Reds kicked off their 145th season of professional baseball.
