Construction is slated to begin next week on the realignment of Ky. 44 in Spencer County, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced in a news release last week.
KYTC recently awarded a nearly $3 million contract to realign Ky. 44 from Oak Tree Way to Ky. 1633.
The project also includes improving sight distance at the intersection with Ky. 1633 and Lee Stevens Road as well as construction of a left turn lane from eastbound Ky. 44 to Ky. 1633.
