The Spencer County Sheriff’s Department and Spencer County EMS made the switch to their NXDN protocol ICOM radios over a week ago and the results are just as Sheriff Donald “Buddy” Stump hoped they would be, he said Thursday.
“There’s no place in Spencer County where we haven’t been able to communicate,” Stump said.
Communications have been crystal clear even transporting prisoners outside of the county to Shelby and Bullitt counties, Elizabethtown and the University of Louisville Hospital, Stump said.
