Spencer County families struggling to pay the high-cost of winter heating bills may be able to fight off January’s frigid temperatures with help from the Multi-Purpose Community Action Agency.
Beginning January 5, the community service agency started offering assistance to low-income households deemed to be in a home-heating crisis situation. Criteria for being in a crisis situation are:
That the household is within four days of running out of the fuel (coal, fuel oil, propane, kerosene, or wood) being used as a heating source;
