Judge Donna Dutton heard the following cases in Spencer District Court April 11, 2014:

Traffic:
Jeremy E. Simpson (1979), operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license, amended to no license in possession, guilty, $20 fine; operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs first offense, guilty, $728 fine, Alcohol and Drug Education Program, 30 days suspended operator’s license.

Prentice A. Mobley (1970), operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs aggravator first offense, amended to DUI no aggravator, guilty, sentenced to 30 days conditionally discharged for two years, $728 fine, 30 days suspended operator’s license and Alcohol and Drug Education Program.

Misdemeanor:
Sean R. Sherrard (1981), receiving stolen property under $10,000, amended to receiving stolen property under $500, guilty, sentenced to 30 days conditionally discharged for two years, Kentucky Alternative Program with quarterly review, restitution to be paid.

Barbara Simpson (1968), receiving stolen property under $10,000, amended to receiving stolen property under $500, sentenced to 365 days conditionally discharged for two years, Kentucky Alternative Program, restitution to be paid, no contact with victim.

Traffic:
Larry M. Pennington Jr. (1987), speeding 15 miles over the legal limit, guilty, state traffic school and $143 court costs paid.

Alexey Chausenko (1987), speeding 20 miles over the legal limit, guilty, state traffic school and $143 court costs paid.

Shannon Greenwell (1969), operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs first offense, guilty, sentenced to 15 days conditionally discharged for two years, 30 days suspended operator’s license, Alcohol and Drug Education Program, Kentucky Alternative Program, $728 fine to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Shannon Greenwell (1969), failure to wear seat belts, guilty; operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs aggravator first offense, amended to no aggravator, guilty, sentenced to 15 days conditionally discharged for two years, Alcohol and Drug Education Program, 30 days suspended operator’s license, $728 fine to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Morgan Nicole Steele (1992), failure to produce insurance card, amended to failure to maintain required insurance, guilty, $500 fine, $400 conditionally discharged; operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license, amended to no license in possession, guilty, $20 fine. All fines/fees to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Heather R. Travis (1990), failure to wear seat belt, guilty, $25 fine; failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security first, guilty, $500 fine conditionally discharged for two years. All fines/fees to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Gary Billings Jr. (1974), failure to wear seat belt, guilty, $50 in fines and fees to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Misdemeanor:
Rebecca Carney (1963), parent/custodian send child to school first and second offense, guilty, $100 fine; third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, guilty, sentenced to 14 days credit for time served, $153 court costs. All costs/fines to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Hope U. Davis (1995), second-degree cruelty to animals, guilty, sentenced to 180 days conditionally discharged for 45 days, Kentucky Alternative Program, not to possess any animals, $153 court costs to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

William H. Dewitt-Bland (1995), resident fishing without a license/permit, guilty, $50 fine, $143 court costs to be paid in installments/deferred payment.

Joseph V. Holloway Jr. (1991), possession of marijuana, guilty, sentenced to 30 days conditionally discharged for two years, $100 fine, $153 court costs to be paid in installments/deferred payment.
