Department for Local Government (DLG) Commissioner Tony Wilder has announced that the agency will reopen the window for applications for the Cemetery Preservation Fund. The purpose of the program is to provide grants for the restoration and maintenance of non-profit cemeteries not receiving perpetual care funds.
Although the program only has $38,000 to distribute at this time, Wilder said this amount can still be divided among applicants to make a difference in several communities.
