The Spencer County Extension Service will host a six-week sewing boot camp course every Thursday from Feb. 28 through April 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The cost is $50, which includes lunch and a workbook. Classes will be at the new extension office, located at 100 Oak Tree Way. Allison Lewis, county extension agent for family and consumer sciences, is the course sponsor. Teachers will be Pat Douglas, master clothing volunteer, and Patti Davis, a sewing and machine embroidery enthusiast.
Sewing machines are available for use at the extension office, but those who have their own sewing machines can bring them along with their instructional manuals.
Class size is limited. Call 477-2217 to reserve a spot. The class is designed for beginners, but those with prior knowledge are welcome.
