While most teens were sleeping in, hanging out with friends, or going to the movies, 26 members of the Spencer County FFA were doing something a little different.   After loading a bus last Monday morning,  they headed to Hardinsburg to the Ky FFA Leadership Training Center.

Spencer County’s chapter joined with 337 other members  from twenty-two different chapters. They  participated in various leadership, team building classes and recreational activities.

The week was kick-started by the 2010-11 Spencer County FFA officer team presiding over the opening evening session.   Joseph Snider, chapter vice-president was selected as president of the camp council, while Auston Jaggers was our delegate.

Brennan Noel was winner of the camp quiz contest and will compete in the state finals July 24th.  Joseph Snider received the Outstanding Camp Leadership award and Auston Jaggers received a camp leadership award.

This truly was a week to remember by all of the members, said Spencer County’s FFA Advisor Bland Baird.
