The Taylorsville-Spencer County Fire Protection District opted not to raise any of its tax rates for the ninth consecutive year.
The 2012 real property and personal property tax rates will remain at 5 cents per $100 of assessed value. For example, on real or personal property valued at $100,000, the taxpayer would owe $50 in taxes to the fire protection district.
This tax year, the motor vehicle tax rate will remain at 10 cents per $100 of assessed value, meaning that on a motor vehicle valued at $100,000, the taxpayer would owe $100.
