Grand jury indicts Mt. Eden man with murder

Spencer County Grand Jury has indicted a Mt. Eden man on murder for an incident that occurred a year ago December 23.

George T. Henderson, 70, has been charged with the alleged stabbing death of his nephew, Phillip Ray Bentley, Jr. Bentley was 48 years old at the time of his death.

The Spencer County Sheriff’s Department was called to 180 Little Beach Road in response to a domestic dispute. Several people were inside the home when police arrived, including Henderson, who later admitted to the stabbing.
