Congressman Brett Guthrie will be in Spencer County on Thursday.
Guthrie’s visit is part of his “Listening Sessions” to be conducted in each of the 21 counties in the Second District during January 2012.
During the listening sessions, individuals will be able to ask questions or offer ideas on what Congress should be doing, according to a news release from Guthrie’s office. A constituent services representative will also be available to assist with any specific questions individuals may have about a federal government agency or service.
“My top priority in Congress is to represent the views of those who allow me to serve,” Guthrie said. “I strive to stay connected with constituents and listen to their ideas through a variety of methods, and these Listening Sessions will help in that effort.”
Guthrie will meet with citizens at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Spencer County Fiscal Courtroom, located at 28 E. Main St.
Community members are encouraged to attend.
