Spencer County Habitat for Humanity announces the recent selection of two new partner families. The families of Gina Hedden and Lee and Carlie Burden will join with Habitat in the construction of their new homes.
Both families have completed a lengthy selection process and meet the three basic Habitat criteria.
1. Need – currently living in substandard/overcrowded/unsafe housing.
2. Ability to Pay – income sufficient to pay an interest free mortgage.
3. Willingness to partner – agreeing to work at least 250 sweat equity hours in support of Habitat goals.
Join Habitat for the groundbreaking in the near future at the building site on Maple Avenue in downtown Taylorsville as the organization offers a “hand up, not a hand out” in the construction of simple, basic, affordable housing for two qualifying Spencer County families.
