An algae bloom that poses potential health risks to people and animals has been identified in Taylorsville Lake, the Kentucky Division of Water announced last week.
The levels of the harmful algae are occurring at the threshold where health effects may be observed, according to the DOW.
Citizens are being advised of the potential health risks that could come with swimming or ingesting the lake water or using it to water pets or livestock.
