  We had a blast in…1957! Chloe and I loved the TV shows, cool toys and music!  We also loved playing with our hula hoop. Chloe and I would have contests to see who could hoop the longest! I wasn’t nearly as good as my sister!

Though hooping was fun, I knew that wouldn’t help my savings account. “May I walk to Mobley’s to find a job?” I asked Dad as Chloe and Mom picked petunias in the flower garden. Dad gave me permission and said that Chloe could accompany me since she needed to pick up supplies for Mom.
