Man charged with cultivating, trafficking marijuana

A Taylorsville man was arrested Friday morning and charged with cultivating and trafficking marijuana as a result of a joint investigation of the Taylorsville Police Department and the Spencer County Sheriff's Department.

Officers Daniel Wills and Todd Walls and Chief Deputy Jonathan Bentley busted the indoor marijuana grow of Joey Singer, 37, at 68 Frontier Avenue on Friday morning after a monthlong investigation, Wills said.

Law enforcement found 21 plants still growing and more marijuana that had already been harvested.

Wills said the size of the grow was average compared to others he has seen.

Walls said the marijuana was "high quality," and Bentley described the grow as "sophisticated."
