INDICTMENTS: March 6, 2014

 The following indictments were handed down by a Spencer County Grand Jury March 6, 2014:Jeffery L. Warner, 29, of the 7900 block of Louisville, was indicted on the following charges:

Count 1: On or about Jan. 10, 2014, in Spencer County, Warner allegedly committed the offense of first-degree burglary by knowingly and unlawfully entering or remaining in a building located on Red Bud Circle with the intent to commit a crime, and when effecting entry or while in the building or in the immediate flight therefrom, he or another participant in the crime was armed with explosives or deadly weapon.

Count 2: On or about Jan. 26, 2014, in Spencer County, Warner allegedly committed the offense of second-degree burglary by knowingly and unlawfully entering or remaining in a dwelling located at Red Bud Circle with intent to commit a crime.

Count 3: On or about Jan. 10, 2014, in Spencer County, Warner allegedly committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking or exercising control of a firearm with intent to deprive the owner thereof.

Count 4: On or about Jan. 10, 2014, in Spencer County, Warner allegedly committed the offense of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon when he, having been convicted of a felony, possessed, manufactured or transported a handgun.

Count 5: On or about Jan. 10, 2014, in Spencer County, Warner allegedly committed the offense of second-degree criminal mischief when having no right to do so, or any reasonable ground to believe that he had such right, he intentionally or wantonly defaced, destroyed, or damaged a door causing a pecuniary loss of $500 or more.

Shawn Pickett, 37, of Fenwick Ave. in Louisville, and Eric McCauley, 37, of Zelma Fields Ave. in Louisville, were indicted by a Spencer County Grand Jury March 6, 2014:

Count 1: On or about May 12, 2013, Pickett and McCauley, in Spencer County, alone or in complicity with each other, allegedly committed the offense of first-degree burglary-complicity, by knowingly and unlawfully entering or remaining in a building located on Whitefield Lane with the intent to commit a crime, and when effecting entry or while in the building or in the immediate flight therefrom, they were armed with explosives or deadly weapons.

Count 2: On or about May 12, 2013, in Spencer County, Pickett and McCauley, alone or in complicity with each other, committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking by taking or exercising control of one or more firearms with the intent to deprive the owner thereof.

Count 3: On or about May 12, 2013, in Spencer County, Pickett and McCauley, alone or in complicity with each other, committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking or exercising control of property of a value of $500 or more with the intent to deprive the owner thereof.
