Magistrates have called for a detailed examination of Judge Executive David Jenkins’ county credit card statements following a recent report of his spending habits while serving as the former president of Kentucky Association of Counties (KACo).
The Lexington Herald-Leader reported Sunday that Jenkins spent nearly $20,000 on his KACo credit card during 2008, with $600 in charges to strip clubs and a Lexington-based escort service. Jenkins and KACo are in the process of disputing the latter charges with their credit card company.
