On Sept. 1, corn stocks in Kentucky totaled 5.21 million bushels according to the Kentucky Field Office of USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. Stocks declined 49 percent from the previous year. Corn stored on farms totaled 2.30 million bushels, down 45 percent from last year’s September stocks. Off-farm stored corn totaled 2.91 million bushels, which decreased 52 percent from a year ago. Off-farms stocks consists of grain stored at mills, elevators, warehouses, terminals and processors and was over half of the total corn stocks stored.
