LETTER: Bill that affect kids

-A A +A
By The Staff

Most kids my age are concerned with sports and video games, which I enjoy. As a Boy Scout and Christian, I would like to focus on an issue that is far more significant. In fact there are five bills that are being considered right now. I feel these are so important that I took a field trip on March 3 to the state capital in Frankfort. These bills are: Senate bill #42 which is the public decency act; Senate bill #1 which is about changing the CATs testing; Senate bill #68 which is children in the state’s care must have the best homes available; Senate bill #168 families with special needs children need educational alternatives; and the most important  – Senate bill #79 which is about abortionists having to show a woman her own ultrasound so she can make a fully informed decision. This bill requires a 24-hour reflection period before making a decision to have an abortion. Also the information must be given in a face to face medical consultation.

Hopefully, if this bill passes there will be fewer abortions when they see their developing baby and the miracle of the life being made.
