I would like to thank all the bus drivers that gets out there everyday, risking their lives taking peoples children to school everyday. I don’t think that the bus drivers get enough reconcilitation that they derserve.
Parents or citizens that complain about the bus drivers need to go and drive those buses and find out what all the bus drivers go through within a days time and all the responsibility they have. I just wanted to thank the bus drivers everywhere to let them know that some people do care.
Kim Maddox has been a bus driver for the Spencer County School System for 8 years. In May 2008 she and several other bus drivers competed in a bus rodeo and represented the school system.
Kim competed and tied for second place and had the opportunity to go to Pikeville to compete in the regional bus rodeo that June.
There were over 200 people from all counties competing in this rodeo. Kim placed 15th out of the 200. She must be a great bus driver in order for her to even to be able to compete in such competition.
Kim enjoys her job as a bus driver for the school system. She works hard and deserves recognition for not only this accomplishment, but for her daily duty of making sure Spencer County children arrive safely at their destination.
I just want Kim and all of our bus drivers to know that they are praised and may God bless them and protect them everyday they are on the roads.
When bus drivers do something good to represent the school system they are not even mentioned in the paper. I believe that the bus drivers go beyond the call of duty. Pictures should be taken of all bus drivers and put in the paper.
