Until we see changes with our current Planning and Zoning Commission, I would very highly recommend to anyone that is thinking about opening a business to do it in Bullitt or Shelby counties. You will have a much better chance of your business succeeding. Unlike in Spencer County, they appreciate and welcome new businesses.
A lot of the times when people open a business, they use their entire life savings to invest in it to get it started as I did when I started Elmar’s BP in Elk Creek.
It is very hard to start a small business and get it to succeed.
