LETTER: CASA asks for support

We are writing to you to ask the community of Spencer County to support CASA (court appointed special advocates). CASA is a non-profit organization that helps abused and neglected children who have open cases in family court. Our volunteers advocate for the best interest of the child in court and make recommendations to the judge concerning the child. The CASA volunteer serves as an extra set of eyes for the family courts, so therefore the judge is able to make a better decision concerning the child’s welfare.
