My name is Nolan Thompson, and I am helping to host a variety show for the benefit of an orphanage in Kenya, Africa. I am writing to tell you a little bit about it.
When I was in third grade, I watched my mom collect toys, blankets and toothbrushes for homeless people. That really sparked my interest in helping people.
In May, I did a food drive for Alabama after a tornado hit. I did it because my dad was taking stuff down there and I thought it would be nice to have more people involved in the project.
